🚴♂️ RIDING FOR EVERY STAGE OF LIFE: SUPPORT RIDE2SERVE 2026! 🚴♀️
At SIWEC, we stand with our community through every stage of life — empowering students through education, supporting families with financial aid and food relief in times of need, walking alongside those facing loss with bereavement and counselling support, and caring for our seniors with dedicated eldercare services — because no one should ever have to face life alone.
To sustain these essential support services, our dedicated cyclists are taking on the Ride2Serve 2026 challenge! From 27 March to 30 March 2026, they will be riding 518KM through Johor, Desaru, Mersing, and Batu Pahat, pushing their limits to support the community.
There’s a unique strength in coming together for a shared purpose. In collaboration with the devoted team of Sikh Sewaks, last weekend we carried out a ration distribution drive, bringing essential ration supplies directly to families who needed them the most.
Seeing the smiles, the gratitude, and the relief in the eyes of those we helped was a humbling reminder of why we do this. Every packet handed over represented not just sustenance, but care, hope, and a sense of being supported.
💛 🚴♂️ R2S 2026 is not just a ride. It’s 518KM of hope in motion. 🚴♂️💛
Last year, our ride helped 716 beneficiaries and offer them access to education, rations, and meals. This year, with 62 riders and 14 marshals, we aim to reach 1000 children and families. 💛 Every kilometer pedaled carries the potential to transform lives, bring smiles, and build brighter futures.
Every donation amplifies this impact. This ride is more than a physical challenge—it’s a journey of hearts and communities coming together to serve. 💛 And you can be part of it.

🤝 Strengthening Second Chances: A Dialogue with SMOS Dr. Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim 🤝
Rehabilitation is a journey no one should walk alone, and it takes an entire community to make it successful.
On 17 March, SIWEC was honored to host Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Senior Minister of State (Ministry of Home Affairs), at the Central Sikh Temple for a vital dialogue on our Prisons & Aftercare Programme.
We were privileged to be joined by the Heads of our Gurdwaras and leaders from across the Sikh community, including SSEF, YSA, SKA and Sikh Sewaks. Their presence underscores our collective commitment to supporting inmates and ex-offenders on their journey back into society.
In partnership with the Singapore Prison Service (SPS), our discussions focused on: ✨ Expanded Religious Counselling: Deepening collaboration across all Sikh institutions. 🌱 Enhanced Mentorship: Building a robust safety net for lasting reintegration. 📚 Volunteer Training: Strengthening our staff and volunteer capabilities alongside SPS.
As a gesture of gratitude, SIWEC Chairperson Sharanjit Kaur presented a token of appreciation to SMOS Dr. Faishal, marking our shared mission of community rehabilitation.
🌟 BE THE CHANGE: VOLUNTEER WITH US! Our mission to provide second chances relies on the heart and dedication of our volunteers. We are looking for passionate individuals to join us as mentors and befrienders to support those on their path to reintegration.
Will you walk this journey with them? 👉 Sign up to volunteer: forms.gle/hmh5YQTT7QkBGkDL8 📩 Contact us: Call 62999234 to learn how you can make a difference.
At SIWEC, we believe in the power of a second chance. We extend our heartfelt thanks to SMOS Dr. Faishal, his team, and our fellow Sikh institutions for their unwavering support in building a more inclusive and supportive community.
The hard work is over; now, the mission begins. For months, our Ride2Serve warriors have pushed through early mornings, steep climbs, and endless kilometers.
On Sunday, they completed their final training ride!
But this journey is about more than just cycling. It’s about Sewa (Selfless Service). Every pedal stroke helps the Sikh Welfare Council to provide a vital safety net for our community—from education and financial aid to family counselling, bereavement and eldercare. No one should have to face life’s challenges alone. Together, we can ensure they don't.

✏️✨ A Morning of Creativity, Imagination & Joy! ✨✏️
This morning at the Central Sikh Temple, a room full of young minds gathered for our English Creative Writing Workshop, and what unfolded was truly special.
What began as a quiet room soon filled with laughter, ideas, and excited chatter as the children explored writing through playful prompts and free expression. It was heartwarming to see them realise that writing isn’t about being perfect — it’s about sharing your thoughts, imagination, and voice.
By the end of the session, the room was filled with proud smiles, creative stories, and children who discovered that their ideas truly matter. ✏️📖
A huge thank you to our wonderful facilitator, Rosvinder Kaur, for guiding the children with warmth, encouragement, and inspiration.
To all our young writers — your curiosity and imagination made today truly magical. Keep writing, keep dreaming, and keep sharing your stories! 💫
