🌸A Heartwarming Celebration of Togetherness, Gratitude & Active Ageing🌸
Last week, our Sunehri Sahelian and Sunehrey Pal members marked the end of Term 2 with a memorable outing filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful moments.
The outing offered our seniors a refreshing opportunity to step out, unwind, connect with one another, and celebrate the friendships built throughout the term. It was a beautiful reminder that active ageing is not only about staying physically and mentally engaged, but also about creating shared experiences that bring happiness, confidence, and a sense of belonging.
In celebration of Mother’s Day, we also took this special occasion to honour the wonderful mothers and mother figures among us — recognising their love, strength, care, and the invaluable role they continue to play in our families and community.

A meaningful visit focused on one goal: Successful Reintegration
We shared ground-level insights from our Prison Counselling and After-Care programmes and discussed how to further empower inmates and their families.
It takes a village and a strong partnership with agencies like SPS to build pathways toward stability and hope.
Longstanding collaborations like ours are the backbone of the support we provide to inmates and their families. During the visit, we discussed the real-world impact of our counselling and after-care efforts, reflecting on how we can further strengthen the "safety net" for those affected by incarceration.
We are grateful to the SPS leadership for their time and their heart for the community.
Such engagements remind us that we aren't just managing programme but restoring hope and dignity.
SIWEC remains committed to working alongside SPS to build safer, more inclusive communities for everyone. 🇸🇬

This Vaisakhi, as we reflect on new beginnings, let us strengthen our collective resolve to serve the vulnerable and foster a more compassionate, inclusive society for all. We remain dedicated to providing support, care, and a helping hand to every individual in our community.
May this auspicious day bring peace, prosperity, and the spirit of togetherness to your homes. 🙏🌼
