MC Adopt A Family
Duration /Commitment:
This is a pilot project which will be run for 1 year. Each MC member will be responsible for 2 to 3 families.
Possible Activities:
- House visits at least twice a year
- Outings with families or children
- Phone calls
- Greeting cards for festive seasons.
Aim:
- To give MC an opportunity to do their part for the needy by providing support.
- MC to get involved at a more personal level and touch lives to make a difference.
- To provide an avenue for MC to build rapport.
- To creating a greater cohesion between the client and MC.
- To move from passive participation of MC to a more involved and active one.
- To give ownership to MC of SIWEC’s assistance schemes this includes giving moral and emotional support.
- To give an opportunity for MC to have a Micro view of the problems.
- Create awareness and open avenues for MC to want to share and devote time.
- To improve /enhance client’s living environment, quality of life and provide a wider circle of support.
- To promote family values.
- Give mentorship opportunity to MC.
