Over the years, the Sikh Welfare Council has reached out and helped numerous people through a variety of problems - regardless of race or religion.

Besides the core services, SIWEC formulates initiatives in support of its overall goals and services, such as the following:
Children's Mentoring Programme
This program is under development. The aim of this program is to provide resources and support to enable the children of the families under SIWEC assistance to attain academic excellence. Research is in progress with data collected on the number of children involved, their current level of performance in school and their problems, those requiring attention and support, sources of possible support and the extent to which SIWEC may render assistance. A concrete and sustainable plan of action is under preparation.
