Year 2011 Review

Sikh Welfare Council's various programmes and support services have been successful in helping its beneficieries over the years.

For example, in the recent past, the number of families on the Financial Assistance & Food on the Table Program have gradually gone down through the hard work of the organisation as well as the determination of the beneficieries to better their situation. Some beneficieries voluntarily stopped the assistance given to them due to promotions or better-paying jobs while the financial situation of others improved by renting out spare rooms in their flats.

From about 50 families on assistance in 2009, the number today hovers around 20.
